The Background

John and Barney met somewhere in the outskirts of Kazakhstan on the 2014 Mongol Rally. They both  drove Nissan Micras, they both loved motorbikes and neither of them could speak a word of Spanish. It could only mean one thing...

The Plan?

Land in Buenos Aires and follow our noses. Carretera Austral to Ushuia, then back up through Argentina on Ruta 40 into Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador and  finishing in Colombia. If we don't get lost we have failed to execute the plan!

Being such zeitgeist tech savvy kids you will be able to follow our adventures through our regular fax, telex and Betamax video updates. If this all too hipster for you, we will also be broadcasting occasionally on the niche media platform known as "The Book of Faces" - link below or here to subscribe to our page.

The Bikes

On a pair of 2009 Yamaha XT660Z Teneres. 23 Litre fuel tanks for long range and bulletproof mechanicals to get us into the best sorts of remote trouble.
